The Olympics in the Junior Hub

In the Junior Hub we have been learning about inspirational people. We have learnt that Olympians are inspirational people and we have seen so many of them over the last few weeks.

Last week we even got to watch the Women's Rugby Sevens Gold match final instead of doing writing. We loved chanting for our country.

When we saw NZ score we were very excited!

We were so proud when our girls got their medals.

Every morning we look at our medal table and see how our athletes are going. Here is a slide of some of the other olympic work we have been doing in class, enjoy!

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
