Smart Learner Lesson 4 - Te Ropu Maia

Te Rōpū Māia Today we had a great lesson with Miss Morgan. We learnt to crop photos from our books and stick them on our Explain Everything Project. Here is a link to our lesson.  Check out our photos below.

Auaha - Our Harvest

We  had potato chips made from potatoes from our garden. They were crunchy and they tasted yummy. They tasted amazing. They were soft inside.

Te Rōpū Māia 2019

Kia Ora, Here is a picture of Te Rōpū Māia hanging out together. We are the year 3 class in Te Ara Whakatau (junior hub). We are a pretty crazy fun bunch and love our senior playground.
Play Based Learning - Week 2 It has been two weeks since we started Play Based Learning. While the children are having fun, they are also learning many things through play. Check out some of the learning the children are doing during the play. Harsirat, Aria and Maddison were busy creating at the craft table. Luca was finding out how the scale works. Laytin and Skylarr made their cosy hideout.  Isabella and Milla measured the length of the uni-link block they connected. Zack, Cayden, Ryan and Kairo experimented the different states of liquids and solids with cornstarch. Boston and Toby worked together for figuring out how to put up the tent.  Caytlin-Lee, Mikayla, Sharnee are playing together nicely.

Hi. Our class is called Auaha and in our class we have 21 students in our class. We made a treaty and we used coffee and teabags to make it look old. You can see the treaty behind us in the photo.

Swimming

Te Ara Whakatau has been making the most of the amazing weather and are continuing to develop our swimming skills in our school pool. It has been amazing to see all of the students growing in confidence and continuing to improve each and everyday! Here are some students from Te Rōpū Kura Pounamu, Te Rōpū Whakaute and Te Rōpū Wawata enjoying some free time after their swimming lessons.
