Kura Pounamu students are loving Water Play!

Last week we added red food colouring to our water play and had straws for the students to use. The Kura Pounamu boys loved this and spent a long time playing and blowing bubbles. They explored how many bubbles they could get with one straw and if they had more straws would they get more. Check out our photos, showing the fun and enjoyment we had. We were super happy  that our amazing parents were able to wash our uniforms so the red marks came out! Next time we want to have green water..

I wonder what the straw will do...can we blow bubbles?

We are team players!

  1. Hey Kura Pounamu,
This looks like to much fun! I love blowing bubbles in milkshakes, coke, water (although I used to get in heaps of trouble with my mum!).
Did any of you try this at home? What did your parents think?
Look forward to hearing from you,
    Miss Morgan

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
