Another fun day of learning in the Mahoney Household!

The Mahoney girls have been working hard again on their Maths work online and getting outside in the sunshine to have some fun. It certainly looks like you are making the most of the park space to get out and have some fun. Also is that the chocolate game I see!     The chocolate game girls is my favourite party game to play!!! Who ate the most chocolate? I love that you have the big grass space beside your house and you are doing lots of exercising. You are having so much fun learning in your bubble I wonder what you do today?

    You look like you are having lots of fun in your bubble. I remember playing the chocolate game when I was a girl. You were lucky to have a lovely day to go outside and play. Keep having fun and sharing. I love to see your smiles!

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
