Christopher and Olivia hard at work!

Christopher and Olivia have been very busy doing their learning in their bubble. They have great team work and are working together lots.

Each day they create a timetable for the activities and challenges they are going to do. They have an awesome routine set up. Great job team Chang!

Check out Olivia and Christopher working on the computer completing reading activities. These also complete lots of Maths Buddy tasks each day also. You both should be incredibly proud of all of your efforts!

Today they have also been learning their Mihis. Check them both out. They are amazing at doing them and are both very proud of their efforts.

Olivia is amazing and is able to recite her Mihi without any prompting.

Olivia is an awesome big sister and helps her brother Christopher say his Mihi. Christopher you do a great job especially as you have just started school before lockdown! Ka Pai Team Chang!

  2. I loved watching your videos. Christopher is lucky to have such a helpful big sister. I wonder if you will be a teacher when you grow up Olivia? It looks like you are both having fun learning in your bubble. Keep sharing - we love to see what you are doing at home.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
