Isabella' work on Tuesday 21st April

Isabell spent time working on her pack this morning. As you can see she has worked on many of the activities for Reading and Maths. You worked very hard, Isabella. I am so proud of you.




Isabella drew the birdhouse after watching Mrs Abernethy's Aviary video. Good work, Isabella

    Man you are keeping busy, the work that you did looks awesome. You are certainly working very hard everyday with your home learning, ka pai! I love your beautiful colours of your bird house. The colours of the birds were really pretty I agree with you :-)

    It looks like you are doing some awesome work in your house Isabella. I think birds would love to live in your birdhouse. It looks like the pack has some great activities in it to keep you out of trouble!

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
