Leyla the busy worker

Check out all of the awesome work that Leyla has been getting up to in her bubble. I love how you have practised writing those words. Your writing is neat, I love how proud you are. Leyla has also shared with us some videos of her doing her daily fitness. She has also been a busy baker with her older brother Harlin. I bet it tasted delicious! I especially love the one with background music. Keep up the amazing work!!! Ka Pai :D

  2. Hi Leyla
It looks like you were having lots of fun outside. We have been so lucky to have sunshine so we can be outside. I hope Harlin didn't eat all the baking!

  3. Wow Leyla you have certainly been working hard in your bubble there is so much here that you've done! It is great to see your beautiful smile, I miss seeing you! But it looks like you and Harlin have been having fun together, your baking looks so yummy! I love the way you are practising your high frequency words and doing some great exercises! I wonder what is your favourite thing that you've done so far?

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
