Myra and Crystal Working Hard

Today Myra and Crystal were working very hard in their bubbles doing their learning pack workbooks. Their Dad is a big help, making sure they understand what to do, but their cat has other ideas about them all working today, check out what he does!

  1. Hi Myra and Crystal, it looks like you are working hard in your bubble. I like your cat - did you teach it to sit on your work so you could have a break? Maybe it wanted a cuddle!

  2. I love how you are enjoying your time at home girls, learning with your packs it looks like you're doing a fantastic job! It is funny that you're cat sat on your work he/she probably wanted some attention! I know my dog keeps following me wherever I go :-)

  3. Well done, Myra and Crystal for working hard at home. So good to see you in the photo, Crystal. I heard that you have been doing home learning with your sisters. I am wondering if you could send us photos of your work next time. I love to see what you have been working.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
