In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
Olly this is a really cool activity, what a great idea! I'm not sure what you made it from but it looks great! I wonder if you watched to see if many birds came to your bird feeder? My dog loves chasing birds so I know that if I had one of those in my garden she would be very busy!
ReplyDeleteHi Olly,
ReplyDeleteThis is great, I've been thinking about making one of those from a pine cone. Did you put peanut butter or fat or something else onto the pine cone to make it sticky?
The birds will love you.
Wow Olly this is very cool, you will love the video of Mrs Abernethy's bird aviary tomorrow that we have sorted as a writing activity. How did you make this?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone
ReplyDeleteI used Dripping which I warmed in the oven on low and then I added the seeds we had at home which were sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. You can use bird seeds if you want, Then we stuck it into the pinecones and hung it up for the birds to help them get fat on them to keep warm this winter.
It's a bit messy we should of done it outside lol.
Can you see who is waiting in the background to eat the birds.....???
Olly
Thanks Olly, they are really good instructions. Sounds like it was lots of fun. Oh no I hope the cat doesn't get the birds!
