    Hi Olly,
I love the work you are doing at home. I watched your video about how to make loom band things on YouTube earlier. I was very impressed.
Those cupcakes look yummy, did you put icing on them?
Are the flowers out of your garden? they are lovely.

  2. I have to say I have that cook book too Olly and I learned a lot of things from it when I was your age too! You must have followed the recipe well because the muffins look fabulous! Great job! I wonder what is your favourite thing about baking? Mine is eating it! :-)

  3. Hey Olly
You sure have been very busy!! Those cupcakes look yummy, what flavour are they? Did you see the video for my class with my red velvet cupcakes? Your nana must have a beautiful garden. Did you have a fun time there? I can't wait to see what you get up to next week!

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
