The Cummins Bakery

Charlotte and Maddison have been busy in their kitchen again today. They have tried out two different recipes. They have made Gooey Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies from Bree@Glamour cakes and the good old fashioned Anzac Biscuits. You are very talented bakers and I can't wait to do some baking with you when we return to school. I bet these tasted delicious!!

Hi Charlotte and Maddison, I think I need to come and live in your bubble because I don't have any yummy baking like that at my place.
Charlotte your apron is very pretty, I like to wear an apron when I do baking as well.

  2. Yummy, I am going to try your recipe. They look like they would be lovely with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. It looks like you are having a lot of fun!

  4. I have to say that when I read the title I thought hmmm...that sounds like something I wouldn't mind going to. I think I might have the same cookbook that the ANZAC biscuits came from.
I'm not usually a fan of baking, eating it is great but I don't bake much these days but I think I might actually bake the ANZAC biscuits. You have inspired me. Thank you for sharing.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
