Violet's Bubble Learning Week 1

Violet has been very busy in her bubble! Here's her rainbow, which she made out of Autumn leaves. After listening to the story Carla's Sandwich, Violet decided to make her sandwich a burger. I love your imagination, Violet.

I wonder what Violet will share with us next time!

  1. Nice work Violet! I agree that I think I would prefer a burger to a sandwich too :-) Your rainbow is so beautiful and creative, it is amazing how many different coloured leaves you found! Was it very hard to find all these different colours?

  2. Kia ora Violet.
As soon as I looked at your blog post, my eyes were quickly drawn to your leaves rainbow. What a great idea and the look of it is really effective. I love the autumn colours.
Your burger is making me hungry. Great work here. Ka pai.

  3. Violet, I love how you made your rainbow with the autumn leaves you found. Great thinking, you are very creative! I am amazed that you found all of those colours. I also love burgers, I love both beef and chicken burgers with cheese, bacon, onion, mushroom, lettuce, egg, tomato and watties burger sauce! I look forward to seeing this weeks activities.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
