Charlotte's PBL - gardening style!

For Play Based Learning Charlotte did something different. She broke open some rose hips and camellia pods so she could have a go at growing them from seeds. It looks like Charlotte had lots of fun and really enjoyed it. I think you are going to make an awesome gardener Charlotte.     Wow this is so interesting Charlotte, I don't know very much about gardening at all so I have definitely learned something by reading your post. It has been such beautiful weather for getting out in the garden. Thanks for sharing :-)

    I love to see how curious you are Charlotte. I wear gloves when I garden too to stop my hands getting dirty and I don't want to touch worms! I wonder what will happen next?

    What an awesome thing to do, Charlotte. Collecting the seeds and then planting them must have been a lot of fun. I cannot wait to hear what happens next. I wonder how you will after your planted seeds?

    I like your inquiry mind. You were curious about what might happen, and you decided to experiment with your idea. I would like to know if the seeds grew and sprouted. And also, how long it would take to sprout. It looked you enjoyed your day in the garden. Well done, Charlotte!

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
