Isabella's fun Tuesday!

Isabella said that she really enjoyed drawing whales this morning after watching the story 'Breathe'. Then she baked rainbow cookies with her family. Isabella, your whale drawing is awesome. Excellent practice! Your cookies look so yummy and pretty. I bet it did not take long to eat them all especially between the four of you! I hope you saved some for your mum and dad.

  1. Wow Isabella I agree with Mrs Park that drawing is awesome! I can't believe you drew it all by yourself! Man those cookies look good and it is so nice to see all the Hancock children together. Beautiful photo Hancock family. I wonder how many cookies you ate today?

  2. Hi Isabella, I'm so pleased you had a go at drawing a whale - what an artist you are! It was a cold day yesterday so I bet your house smelled amazing with the rainbow cookies in the oven. They look delicious and I bet the are all gone now! You might have to do some more baking today...

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
