Sana showing her value skills!

Sana was working hard on her value's work today and look at how magnificently tidy her room is! She always sorts her toys and dolls by colour, which is a cool idea for tidying. I love how you have shown the be there value so well today Sana, ka pai! Sana is also being a teacher at her home and is teaching her little brother Aristo about numbers, shapes, alphabet letters and colours. This is awesome Sana you are a such a kind sister!

  1. Sana, I sent you a fish ticket because I loved the message you sent me with these photos saying how lovely and funny I was. It makes the videos we are recording worth it knowing that you love watching them. You have done a great job with the value, your room is so tidy! Keep being awesome!! I also think it's pretty cool seeing your certificates on your bedroom wall!!

  3. Sana, I love your room. What a great job you did tidying your bedroom! I can see you are a great self-manager. Good on you, Sana for sharing your learning with your brother, Aristo. I wonder if Aristo was a good learner who makes good choices.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
