Alasdair keeps busy

Alasdair has been keeping pretty busy in his bubbles. He has been enjoying playing with his lego and going on walks and bike rides. Alasdair has also been helping his dad with some metal fabrication work and restoring an old car. He has also been spending lots of time on reading eggs! Keep up the awesome things you are doing Alasdair. I can't wait to see you again soon as I have so many questions to ask you :D

  2. Alasdair you look like your having so much fun on your bike. I bet it's nice that there aren't as many people out driving on the roads to worry about when biking. You also sound like you are jamming a whole lot of fun and learning into your days. Well done we are proud of you and I bet Dad loves having an extra set of hands to help too!

  5. It is great to see you have been busy doing your learning as well as many fun things. You must be learning lots of skills from your dad by helping him with his metal fabrication work. I would love to hear about them when we can see each other.
Keep up the good work and keep sharing!

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
