Hardworking Mavith!

Mavith has been working hard each day. He does lots of writing, spelling and maths activities. He is also enjoying being able to play Roblox. I miss you Mavith and can't wait to see you again soon! Keep up the hard work, you're a champion!

  1. Wow Mavith you certainly are a champion, I can't believe how many equations you have done here. You are really working hard in your bubble! I've never played roblox before but I'm glad to hear you are having fun playing. Can you play with other people on that game? It is really good to hear from you Mavith, thanks for sharing your learning with us :-)

  2. Well done Mavith! Look how many times you wrote the word sleep? This morning when I went for a little walk I was followed down the fence line by an animal who's name sounds like sleep. Do you know what farm animal followed me? Perhaps you could write that word next. I've never played Roblox either but my daughter said its fun.

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
