Kobe's Day...

Kobe has been super busy again in his bubble. All the baking videos are making me so hungry! I'm pleased you enjoyed the story Colin and Lee, Carrot and Pea. You were spot on with the message in this story and I felt super proud listening to your thoughts on this story.

  1. You continue to work really hard in your bubble Kobe. You looked like you could have been on TV when you were baking those cupcakes! I liked the way you showed us the whole way through it was great. You obviously worked really hard to think about the message in your story. I'll have to give it a listen because it sounds like a really important story :-)

You could be on the news or breakfast they are looking for weather presenters for next week, a girl the other morning did it you could too!

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
