Roya and Parinaz make Cinnamon Rolls!

Yum, yum, yum is all I can say! Today Roya and Parinaz became chefs again. This time they were pastry chefs and made these amazing looking cinnamon rolls. They look just like those that you buy in a store. You are very clever girls and what a wonderful video too to see the whole process, thanks for sharing!

  1. I'm so impressed with your teamwork and I'm now super hungry! Your cinnamon rolls look so good. Maybe you could open up a bakery when you grow up!

  2. Oh wow. As soon as i saw the blog post title I just had to come and have a look. What a clever way of recording your baking process. I like the mix of photos and video with the music playing too. I tried cinnamon buns about a month ago and they quickly became my favourite food. I wondered if I should try and make some but it looked too fiddly. You two have made it look easy but I don't think I would be able to do such a good job. Beautiful work.

  5. Hi Parinaz and Roya, I am so envious, I love eating cinnamon rolls but I don't have a recipe for them or 2 expert cooks to make them for me. They look delicious and I was very impressed with how you both happily shared the work of making them.
    Well done!!!

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
