Three Little Pigs Building and Stories

Here in Bubble 1 at school we have been working hard on our three little pigs work. First we watched the story, then we built our houses and finally we wrote a story! Check out our work below :-)

  2. I loved seeing what you were up to in your school bubble today. It looks like lots of fun. On our site earlier in the week I posted a fractured fairy tale about the big bad pig and three wolves. The three wolves built their houses from different materials. Let me know if you watch it. Thanks for sharing girls:)

  3. Kia ora Bubble neighbours.
What a great idea with lots of different ways to build houses. I wondered what you were up to across the court from us in Bubble 2. You have reminded me that we need to take photos and share what we get up to too. I am looking forward to seeing what else you do during Bubble time. See you from afar. from Miss Waho, Mrs Duthie and Bubble 2.

  4. What a lovey learning day you all had at school! I miss you all.
Kaitlyn, I like your square shape stick house. I wonder if it could get blown away by the wolf's huff. Have you tried it? Charlotte, did you build a houseboat for a pig?
Harper, I like the way you describe your house. What colour paint was on it?
Crystal, your stick house looks very interesting and colourful. Is it a two-storey house?
Well done for your writing work, Sapphire and Myra! Keep up with great work, girls!

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
