What is our favourite part of the new playground?

Back in week 1 Te Rōpū Kura Pounamu and Te Rōpū Wawata were so excited to get our brand new playground. We love being able to play on it at morning tea and lunchtimes! We decided to do an investigation in our classroom to find out what the favourite part of the playground is for the members of our classes. We were surprised to find out that the green slide was our favourite part and not the swing (though this did come a close second :-). Check out our graph below to see the results.

Sorry the numbers are a bit small

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
