In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
Carter this is a cool activity to do. Did you see any road signs or street signs or was it just road work signs?
ReplyDeleteYou looked like you had a great time Carter. Did you also notice how all the signs are different shapes and sizes? Christchurch always has lots of road work signs and cones.
ReplyDeleteGood work, Carter! Reading skill is really important to us because it helps us keep safe and what to do. We have many signs around us. I wonder how many signs you could see on your walk.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea Carter - get fresh air and read at the same time. Maybe next time you could do maths and count the orange cones...we have heaps here in Christchurch!
