Term 1 FISH Winners!

Last term we had five fantastic FISH winners who each got the most FISH tickets from their whole class! They got these tickets by showing all of our school values all the time they were being there in their learning and for others, choosing the right attitude, playing nicely with others and they make our day all the time. Congratulations MJ, Skylarr, Parker, Payton, and Harlin. I wonder who will be our winners this term? Congratulations also to our lucky barrel draw winners who each got a voucher to spend in time for their holidays. Well done Aanaya, Caitlin, Kylah, Oskar and James! If you do your best this could be you this term! The more tickets you get the more chances you have!
Dryland Activities This Friday, Te Rōpū Kura Pounamu, Whakaute and Wawata children had the dryland lesson by Leanne which is the part of the swim safe program. The children learnt how to be safe when swimming in the sea and the importance of wearing a life vest when going on a boat trip. Thank you very much for an important lesson, Leanne! We need to swim in between the orange and yellow flag.  We always have an adult watch over us.  We put our hand up when we are in trouble. We need to wear the right size life vest.

Confidence with the Karakia!

Every morning Te Ara Whakatau join together to say our daily Karakia. Each day different students have a turn leading our morning karakia. This week on Monday three wonderful students from Te Rōpū Whakaute confidently lead the karakia in front of the other students. I love how clearly you can hear Adara, Isabella and Milla. Ka pai girls this is fantastic!
