Literacy superstars!

The children in Te Rōpū Kura Pounamu and Te Rōpū Wawata have been working so hard with their reading and writing work. They are focused and ready to learn. Check out some of the awesome work of some of the fantastic students below.

Gymnastics Fun!

Last week on Tuesday we were lucky enough to visit the Olympia Gym. It was a great experience and we got to learn skills on the floor, the trampoline, high bars and on the beam too. All the fantastic students tried so hard even though some of the skills were quite tricky and a bit scary too! Thanks to Mr Boyd for booking this experience for us and to the helpers that came along to support us!

Harold comes to visit!

Last week we were lucky enough to have Harold and Lauren come to visit us. We had two fantastic sessions, having Harold visit is always a highlight of the year! In our first lesson we learnt about how we can have a growth mindset and that we can use the power of yet, I can't do this yet. If we develop a growth mindset this will help us to keep going even when things get tough. Then in our second lesson we worked on thinking about what makes a good friend. What can we do to make sure that we are good friends? Afterwards we also had a dance party with Harold, what a fun few days. We can't wait to see Harold again!
