Weeding, Weeding, Weeding

In the last week of Term 3 we spent a lot of time weeding. We recruited lots of new helpers and have made a small dent in the huge task. If you are about in the holidays at all, feel free to pull a few weeds out - we would love some help!

We finished planting the rest of the sunflowers and Lachlan chose to plant some zucchini in one of the raised beds.

We feel like we are making some progress! We are planning on planting lots of swan plants in the corner between the two fences and creating a bright and attractive area for butterflies there. We are looking forward to next term to really get growing!

Marsali found lots of natural items to use to decorate the fairy garden. So creative!

Soon to be zucchini....

Wow! What an amzing job you have done so far. I am really looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labour...strawberries in particular. I will bring Rimu Class around to have a look. Keep up the amazing work. It will be a lovely spring and summer to grow.

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
