This term Te Ara Whakatau have been beginning to learn about different fairytales. We have started by learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The students have been blowing us away with how they can retell the story to others. Here is a video of Luka sharing the story to his class, he cut out all the pictures himself and glued them to make his own story page! Fantastic retelling Luka!
In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
Oh my goodness. I love this retelling of this story Luka. Your expression is fantastic and made me smile. Ka pai. From Miss Waho
