Meet Rocky

Charlotte and Maddison have an enormous rabbit called Rocky. How big is he and he's still growing!
He is a flemish giant rabbit. He would make my rabbit look so tiny. I think he is lucky to have such lovely caring owners.

  1. My goodness that rabbit is ginormous! I can't believe how big he is! When I had a rabbit it was a mini lop and I think she would have looked tiny next to your big rabbit! You said he is one of your flemish giants, do you have more than one?

    2. Aaah I do remember you mentioning Rocky and Bullwinkle before now :-) I definitely know that rabbits can be temperamental, mine always was! She would grunt at me and huff!

  2. Maddi and Charlotte, I don't think I have ever seen a rabbit that big before. I love how he has to sit on both of your laps to fit! I bet your rabbits are enjoying having you at home with them.

  4. Hi girls, I enjoyed watching you and meeting Rocky. Rocky is a big rabbit, isn't he? I bet you enjoy playing and cuddling her. I once had a rabbit when I was a child. It had white fur with red eyes.
I remember I feed it (I forgot its name) with lots of lettuce. What's Rocky's favourite food?

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?

Reading

In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
