Jack and his creations

Jack has had a very creative day today. He made a total of 5 bird feeders and even made one for his pet birds. He also created a pair of binoculars so that he could go bird watching.
I love all of your creations Jack, what a fantastic idea!

  1. What a fun day of learning Jack and I'm sure that the birds appreciated your hard work too! I love how you thought about everything you needed to have for the birds and then worked out how to combine them, great thinking!

  2. Wow Jack, you have been doing so much learning today. I wonder how many birds you saw and if you know the different types of birds you have in your area. I love hearing birds, but I don't like it when they come inside!

  3. Wow! Those bird houses and feeders are amazing, I bet the birds love hanging around your house. How often do you have birds there? Do they come and visit a lot?

Hi Jack, I love the bird feeders you have made and the planning that you did to get ready for making them. I am going to try and copy your ideas to make some for the birds at my house.
    Well done!

  5. This is awesome, Jack! What a marvellous idea! The birds will definitely be flying around to your garden. I do think you're clever making your own binoculars, Jack. Great for keeping an eye on the birds that visit!

Letter of the Week

This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
