On Friday we put out a challenge to make a musical instrument out of things in your recycling bin. Below is Carter's answer to our challenge. Ka pai Carter your Ukulele is amazingly inventive and so clever! I love how you used your ukulele to guide you and how you've used so many different materials in a new way!
In the Junior Hub we've been using many different apps. We used book creator to make a book during reading time. Two groups were working on sounding out the words we get stuck on. Every time we come to a word we don't know we just have to get our mouths ready to say the first sound. The other group was hunting for high frequency words and this time it was the word 'the'.
Hi Carter,
ReplyDeleteI bet you had fun making that ukulele, it looks great!
Its good to be able to reuse things we have at home to make something new. Well done!

Carter this is fantastic!! I love your ukulele. Did you enjoy being able to get creative and create it? I wonder what else you can make out of your recycling. You and Daniel could start a band with your instruments. Keep up the awesome work!! You are a champion!!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing, Carter! What a great idea you had! The strings lined up all straight. Great work, Carter. I wonder how hard it was to make it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteHi Carter
ReplyDeleteI bet you had fun with this challenge. Did you take a long time to plan how to make your ukulele? Maybe we could do this for PBL and make up bands. I wonder what else you could make from your recycling bin?
Awesome ukelele Carter, you should be very proud of your creation. I noticed in the photo you also have the real deal which ukelele is your favourite I wonder?
