This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
Hi Kobe, its Mrs M from down the other end of your hub. I loved your volcano and the suspense in waiting to see it erupt. When we get back to school we'll have to make an enormous one in the sandpit.
ReplyDeleteok Mrs M.
DeleteYou're a scientist Kobe! Love all your work you are doing!!! Yes I agree with Mrs M you will have to do this in the sandpit once we are back at school. i wonder how big we could get it.
ReplyDeleteWow Kobe that was a cool eruption! I liked the way it came slowly up and then spilled over, as well as the fact you used cool red colouring so it looked like real lava! I wonder what you used to make your eruption? I have done it in the sandpit at school before but I think yours eruption was definitely better than mine :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favourite science activities. I like the way you watched it patiently until the lava started to spill over. I wonder how you make a bigger eruption. What a busy day you had. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you everybody for your nice comments.
ReplyDeleteTo make the bigger eruption use more ingredients. The ingredients are baking soda, dish wash, vinegar, red food colouring`. the other materials are a bottle and a stick to stir it. first put the baking soda in the bottle, then put dish wash liquid in the bottle then the red food colouring and then stir it. Then put vinegar in and then wait for the eruption.
Great job Kobe, how long did it take to make it
ReplyDeleteHi Kobe 👋 This looks like fun . Thank you for sharing what to use to make this.
ReplyDeleteToby looks like fun I should try this with Harriet.
DeleteIt takes not to long.
