Aroha continuously has been busy working on her home learning pack. She has worked on her maths, learning to skip count, saying before and after numbers and time. She has also worked on her writing and spelling. You are working very hard, Aroha! I always enjoy reading your story. I am happy that you plan to spend Christmas in Kaikoura, where you plan to watch Dolphins and Killer whales. It will be a great place to spend the Christmas holiday!
This year we are doing phonics in our homerooms. Kiwi class looks at two letters and their matching sounds every week. Weka and Pukeko classes work together on one letter of the week. Each week we have a letter of the week wall where we display all the things we can find that begin with our letter of the week. Last week our letter was H and we had some fun having Harlin Haines wearing a hat on our h wall. Too cute not to share! This week our letter is J so get your thinking caps on Weka and Pukeko classes, what words do you know that start with J?
Well done Aroha you have been very busy. Kaikoura sounds like the place to be at Christmas but i'm not sure about the killer whales. I think i'd just stick to watching the dolphins and seals.
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely working hard at home Aroha, so super impressive. What an exciting holiday that will be to go to Kaikoura. Do you think you will go on a boat to see dolphins and whales?
ReplyDeleteHi Aroha, I am enjoying seeing all of your wonderful work. It always makes me smile. I love watching the dolphins particularly if you are in a boat and they swim along side it.
