Charlotte and Maddison have made some big poppies to display in their window today. They will be celebrating Anzac Day on Saturday by getting up at 6am to stand at the end of their driveway to have a minutes silence with their Dad.
The Anzac Days that I am able to be at home with my Dad we would always go to the dawn service. This year girls I too will be standing at the end of my driveway.
Kia ora koutou.

This is a very lovely post to see and reminds me of my grandfather. That is really lovely that you will be standing out at your driveway and you have your beautiful big poppies to take with you. Ka nui te aroha.
Wow I love how you have made the poppies so big so that everyone going past your house will be able to see! Great work girls! I love that you are going to commemorate ANZAC day from your driveway, we may not be able to all be together but that is a fantastic thing to do ka pai!
ReplyDeleteGoodness me, your poppies are huge and absolutely beautiful. You will be up early tomorrow for a very special day. I read that some people will be playing the Last Post. The Last Post is very moving, have you heard it before?
