Isabella's Tuesday

It has been another busy day in Isabella's house. The best part of her day was drawing the cupcakes in a basket. They look good enough to eat Isabella:)

Kobe's Tuesday

We missed Kobe during our Zoom this morning because he wasn't feeling well. I guess Kobe needed some extra sleep because he felt heaps better and did some amazing work. Awesome job Kobe.

Caelin the Scientist!

I have used the word creative to describe Caelin's home learning so many times, but he continues to be an incredible creative and inventive superstar! He started the day by listening to the bear hunt story and draw a picture of a bear. Then he became scientist Caelin and continued his freezing experiments. Below you can see that he experimented with freezing different substances in water. He worked with his sister Alyxis and froze water with  Baking Soda (BS), Salt (S) and Flour and Salt (F S). They all thought the one with baking soda was really interesting and I think it does too! Caelin then chose to add warm and cold water to the Baking Soda ice cube in a bowl to see how it melted. Caelin says he wants to do more experiments as he wants to be a scientist when he's older. With experiments like this and your amazing creativity I can definitely see you as scientist Caelin!                       ...

Charlotte's Fantastic Tuesday last week!

Charlotte, I am so sorry for posting this late. I found out this afternoon that it wasn't posted last Tuesday. It was great to see you girls having fun and dressed lovely. Those chocolate chip marshmallow cookies look so delicious. I bet it would have been hard to stop eating them. Your parents said that you also have been very busy trying to work through the home learning activity sheets. You also had heaps of fun trying to have a spoon race with a cotton ball while your mum and dad were trying to sabotage you. It made me laugh watching you doing crab-walking!  Thanks for sharing, Charlotte!

Kelsea Shares Her Work

Kelsea has been very creative in her bubble. Lego is lots of fun to play with and for using our imaginations. The chocolate chip cookie was made in the microwave. I wonder if Kelsea could share the recipe, it looks so yummy!

Aroha's Awesome work!

Aroha had another busy learning day. She did the reading activity and worked on comprehension questions. She followed the writing activity instruction,  wrote a fractured fairy tale, and also worked on the number of the day activity.  What a busy working day you had, Aroha! I enjoyed reading your story. I wonder why the ghost wanted to come into Nikau's house. Maybe it wanted to be a friend with Nikau?

Hard working Ryan!

Ryan has been doing impressive work at home. You can see some of his work here. He wrote a recount story about the time with his family at the park. I was amazed at his maths work, working on three timetables. He did wonderful colouring in too. Amazing, Ryan!

Caelin's Exciting Home Learning

Caelin has been busy again today with his awesome home learning activities. He checked out some home learning TV with Suzy Cato and then he has been working on making a tower out of cups. I can't believe how many he has stacked so high! Super impressive Caelin, I don't think I could balance nearly as many as you! When he was stacking he was also practising his maths by adding and subtracting, how awesome. Caelin also thought about what might happen if he put some water in a cup and put it in the freezer, what an interesting experiment Caelin! Keep up your fantastic creativity!

Mavith is working extremely hard in his bubble. He has been doing lots of word and maths work. Check out his learning below. You have amazing work habits. Ka pai Carter your Ukulele is amazingly inventive and so clever! Check out Mei's home learning!

Mei has been enjoying being at home. She has spent a lot of time rollerskating up and down her driveway, but she has also spent time doing some home learning. Mei, you did really well writing the instructions for 'How to wash a Woolly Mammoth". You started each sentence with action words. I can see you worked hard on Maths learning too. Great work, Mei, and thank you for sharing!
